OP Commodore Grease Monkey Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 15 Littlerock, CA	I am trying to ID a Chevy truck I am working on. The ID plate is very faded. There is the number 46 stamped in the middle of the plate. The assembly number is 5CK 05 3133.

My books show that a "CK" series was for a first design 1946 1/2 ton truck. the "5" would indicate that the vehicle was built in the Kansas City, Missouri factory and the "05" designates that the vehicle was built in May.
