I have a reprint of the 1937 sales handbook for commercial cars and trucks and find it a valuable resource. I have not seen these for other years.

Was 1937 the only year Chevrolet published them?

I have a Sales Data book for 1925, 1926, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930, 1931, 1933, 1936, and 1937.

The only problem with the Sales Data books is that they are written before the introduction of the car and therefore do not contain any data from later in the run. That being said, changes were published as page substitutions, throughout the year. It doesn't look like that they were distributed to the exact same locations as the main book was. I have on occasion purchased change packages that had never been posted to the Sales Data books.

The copy I have has info only for "commercial cars and trucks". Is there a version for passenger cars too?

I am uncertain I understand. Was there a Sales Data book and "Main book"? What was in the "main book"?

Just as a point of defining a SALES DATA book. It is a 4 1/2 X 6 1/4 note type 6 ring binder. It has a section for the cars and the commercial vehicles. It just about covers everything you could want to know about the cars and commercial units.

On the front of the book it has a bowtie and the words Sales Data.

The "Sales Handbook" I have is a reprint copy of is soft bound, has a blue and orange color cover with a front view drawing of a '37 truck and orange bow tie with the word Chevrolet and the words "Sales Hanbook, commercial cars and trucks for Chevrolet salesmen". It measures 3 1/4"x 5 5/8".

I picked one up but it did not seem to have much on the 1/2 tons,I also found a engineering features manual but did not have the info I was looking for so there has to be a dealer catalog that contains all the info on what was available in 37. I was trying to see if the overload springs and flatbed that came on my 37 were factory or aftermarket and still looking for the info.

Generally the Engineering Features Manual has the cars up front and commercial in the back. The Sales Data Books also cover the commercial.
