How is the window channel attached on a 32 sedan? A friend is ready to install his and siad when removing they had both screws and nails. Would it be better to attach with weatherstrip cement?

Hi Steve,

On the 32 Sport Coupe I had, the felt window channel on the doors was attached at the top edge with a very small flat head screw. The door/window fold over is tapped for it, mine was rusted out so I re-drilled it and tapped it a little larger. That screw must be very short as well because if too long it will extend up and hit or scratch the door opening on the body. Once I got the screw secured in place I filed off the end that extended above the door. The rest of the felt was tack nailed into the exposed wood framing. Take notice that there are other metal fold overs so you have to space tacks accordingly.

Adding some glue here and there would help keep the felt in place.

Good luck,
RayG
