I'm a newbie on the block. Just pulled our '35 Standard Coupe out of storage where it has been for nearly 40 years. Found the plate on the firewall with the following info:

Style: 35-1207A
Body: 3071
Trim: 46
Paint: 191

Can anyone decipher all that for me.

Welcome Earle,

This is what I found:

Style: 35-1207A = Coupe … Standard
Body: 3071
Trim: 46
Paint: 191 = Regimental Blue 1935

32,193 units were produced. It was priced at $475 and weighed 2,520 pounds. I don't have any information on the body and trim numbers.

Regards,

Jim M.

Not sure on the color at this point. I would like to keep it original, but it's my wife's car, so guess who gets to make the call.

Johnny, I definitely would be interested in the match for "Remington Blue". Think I'll get a quart and try it to see if we like the color.

Jim, please accept my apology. I thought that I
had info on REGIMENTAL BLUE. Sorry, I do not.
However, looking at 35/36 paint chips, it is slightly, and I do mean slightly lighter than Navy
blue. You should be able to find paint charts at
swap meets for around $10. Hopes this helps.

Earle,

Regarding Chevrolet's 1935 Regimental Blue

The Dupont paint number is 24650494
The Dizler paint number is IM-688 (this is the Ditz-Lac Intermix system number)

Like Johnny mentioned, you should be able the find the paint chips and could verify that the Dizler number is correct.

Jim M.

Earle, I will going to a big swap meet this week-
end. Would you like for me to pickup a paint chart
for you? Surely I can find one for $10-$12. Be
glad to do it!

Johnny

Appreciate the offer Johnny. Go for it. It will be a while before I get to any shows, so if you can find a chip, that would be great.

That should be "paint chart" not "chip".

Hi, Earle. Just got back from the swap meet awhile ago, sunburnt, wind chapped, and tired. Much to my suprise I saw no paint charts. Perhaps
the web site referred to by the previous writer
can help you. Good luck!

Thanks for checking. Hope that with all the sunburn and everything, it was a good swap meet.

Earle,

I remember ordering paint chip charts for my Chevelle from Walter Miller. However, I recall only paying $5 or $10 dollars. These cost $20 and up.

To go to their website click below.
Walter Miller Literature

Click on Shop Now/Buy Online (they are the same). Click on Search. Enter the numbers below in the "Our Product Code" one at a time and you should see the Paint Charts information.

Search for Item #98211, 101346, 101347
