I've got a '36 cabriolet in restorable condition. I've had it for a number of years for when I retire. Unfortunately with three kids in college, it doesn't appear that I'll be able to start and complete the project. Any idea of what I can get for this car? No rust, but pretty beat up. All there except front seat and a few minor items. Do you know of anyone that might have interest. I can probably borrow a digital camera to email pix.
Please don't rub it in - I really wanted to do this car.

Mikie, I would certainly not want to think there is anything to be "rubbed in". It appears that you have done a very smart thing, invested your money in something that can give you a good deal of pleasure, and is a way to get a good return on your investment. Be thankful you didn't invest the money in stock six years ago!
I think a 1936 Chevy is one of the most desirable cars I can think of. If I haven't talked you out of selling the car, please email me the pics.

Did anyone ever purchase this vehicle? Or Mike, do you still own it? The reason I ask is that I have 36 Cabriolet parts for sell--including seats, interior panels and wood, and quarter windows, all in very good condition. A hot rodder sold me the parts he didn't want (which was everything but the body shell). This was a restored 36 cabriolet, so in my opinion it was a shame this car was rodded. I'm keeping all of the running gear and mechanical parts, but want to sell the parts unique to the cabriolet to someone who can use them. If anyone is interested, let me know. I can take pictures and email them or maybe post them in a listing here.
