I'm redoing the interior of my 51. The trim piece that goes between the front and rear door (floor to roof)how is it held in place. It appears to be pins of some sort that the panel clips into. But I'm not sure since they were not attached when I got the car. I'm guessing also that the material is wrapped around the trim and glued to the back. Thanks for any help.

Understand that it has been about 25 years since I installed a Hampton Coach kit in my 4 door, but I believe that the panel is held to the body in a manner similar to the door panels - "nails" with serrated sides on the back side of the upholstered panel go into metal receivers in the body. The receivers provide tension to hold the "nails". Grab the edges of the panel and use a putty knife to get between the panel and the body and work the panel away from the body.
