Depends on what you call a heater. Some had a finned exhaust manifold, that was covered and ducted to a vent on the passenger side floor. There was no coolant filled heater core.

It's not how fast you can go, but how good you look at 20 MPH.

1928 was the first year that Chevrolet offered a heater. It was a manifold type that entered the cabin under the feet of the passenger. The on/off switch? was operated by your feet in opening a vent or closing it. The grate had the bowtie in the outlet.

Yes they did have an optional heater. My Dads 28 landau coupe has one and I rode in that car when I was a kid in cold weather about 20 something degrees out. It was like sitting in a BBQ pit on that passenger seat. I flat out roasted! Gary Wallace told me his wife melted her shoe on the grill of his heater and I firmly belive it! Yes they did, and they work very well! There was some aftermarket heaters also but may be more scarce than OEM. Most heated off the exhaust pipes. I know of a touring car with one that has a front and rear heat outlet but is not a Chevy heater.

28 Chevy LO Capitol 1 ton, 28 National 2 dr coach, 71 Chevy Custom Camper 3/4 ton. Also 23 Oldsmobile Economy truck and a 24 Olds sport touring.

I have a virtually complete 28 heater with the correct finned manifold, sheet metal cover with Chevrolet and a bowtie stamped in the middleof an oval, the under floor register and a newly nickeled grate with the bowtie in the middle. This is left over from my 28 Sport Cabriolet restoration-which has an installed heater.

If you are interested, send me a PM.
