Hi Guys, Gals. This is a first time post here on the forums so im going to kinda introduce myself in this question post. Ive been lurking for a couple weeks since I got my car and a while before that. I was able to purchase a restored '26 Chev Coach. My wife and I have been looking for one for awhile to just go and have fun with. I dont have the time to restore a car but have done many antique tractor and hit & miss engine restorations in the past. I have the tools and know how to do pretty much any fab work. So therein lies the question.

On the '26 Coach doors there is an inside lock escutchion on the driver side that the lever just flops loosely. I took the panel off and removed the latch and found that whatever locks the mechanism is either missing or its the wrong door latch. I removed the passenger side latch which has an exterior key. I was able to cut my own key to make the lock work just fine. The way the passenger side mechanism locks is completely different than the drivers interior lock. Does anyone have a pic of how the driver side door lock works? I appreciate any help that you can give me, or any direction you can point me in.

Thanks!
Frank Yaroszeufski

P.S. I have pics but I dont know how to post them in a message.

First off, welcome Frank to the Chevy Chat site. Here are the pictures you sent me.

View of back of latch on the right appears to be missing, what?

Not having mine appart, I can't say what parts are missing, but I will try to get back to you with an answer.

Secondly, WOW! that is a nice looking Coach.
