Guys, I can't find my VIN ID number on my 1939 master 85. I found the model/trim and production plate under the hood.

There will be two plates on the right side of the firewall staring at you when you open the hood. On of the has the serial number. If the black lettering is long gone the serial number will still be there as it is stamped-in. In 1939 most states registered the cars by the motor number. It is stamped into the block on top of the ledge behind the distributor. In 1939 the engine numbers ranged from 1915447- 2697267 and B-10503-B-105461. That number may be on your title.
