I assume that you removed the three bolts that attach the converter to the flex plate.

Hi Gene,

How ya doing ? Happy New Year.
Yes I figured it out next day all I needed to do is look at it with fresh eye... rotated T C to access hole... for the 3 bolts, sometimes you need to step away from a project.
Have a few items off but was unable to work on it today.
I shouldn't even have posted the question

I remember the first time I had to pull a Powerglide, Chevrolet only built six cylinders back then, a crow bar didn't work and just before I decided it would take a cutting torch someone noticed all the racket coming out from under Dad's big old shade tree with the chainhoist on a limb and connected to the Chevy and asked me what I was trying to do? I told him "We are trying to unbolt this blankedey blank Chevrolet Powerslide transmission and pull the engine!" That is when I found out about the three bolts and how you got to them out! I never forgot that part, and I was a young sprout.
I decided that that was a sorry way to bolt a transmission in a car!
I never ever got to liking 52 Powerslides!
still don't!

At first I just couldn't figure out how to get them Blankity Blank bolts out but, next day with fresh eyes and after glancing at my manual, no problem.
I actually like my cast iron glide in my 60 as it shifts way smoother than my 62 aluminum glide.
