Happy holidays everyone.

I have two detail questions I hope are easy. I'm getting ready to install the window shades. I can see in some pictures that the bottom end of the guide cord is tacked into the side panels.
Where or how does the top of the guide cord attach.

Question two
Can someone post or send me an image of an original 1931 gas cap?

thanks

I have a 1930 Sport Coupe and the top of the guide cord is attached to the bottom bar of the shade. There is small eye hook on each end of the bottom of the shade.

Thanks Al W

I have the eyelets on the end of the wooden bar. But I believe the cord passes through the eyelets and is not connected to them. The top end of the cord could be tied somewhere or tacked into the side panels.

The top of the cord is attached in the little hole in the side of each nickel plated shade bracket. The cord then goes through the eyelet on each end of the shade bar and then it is attached to the side panel below the window.

On the gas cap, the Filling Station has them brand new. You can see a photo of one in their catalog or go to their web site to see the photo. www.fillingstation.com

GR-104 gas cap is listed as a correct reproduction for 1931-1934 , except standard models.

I have not seen any reproduction caps that are an exact duplicate of the original. All I have seen have much higher center than the originals. That does not mean that the one sold by the Filling Station is not, I have not seen one of theirs as I still have plenty of the originals.
