Just wondering, Where do you purchase the 2011 VCCA wall Calendar? Thanks, Ken

The Southern Illinois Region #7 were selling them the last two years as a fund raiser, but they have disbanded.

Will another Reigon or National have the 2011 calendar for purchase. I look forward to getting a few every year.

Cheif,

I doubt there'll be a "VCCA" 2011 calendar. The sales period for 2011 calendars of any kind is basically over, and I haven't heard even a peep about anybody doing one.

I understand why the Ill region didn't do one for 2011 (disbanded); but I never did hear -- or at least don't recall -- why Jim Knopf (??) who did a calendar for 4-5 years stopped.

As you Cheif, I also wish there was a "VCCA members" calendar; but at this point I seriously doubt we're going to see a 2011 version.

Bill.

There are several problems to producing calendars. First is getting 12 or 13 quality photographs. That has proven to be difficult to get a variety and of sufficient quality for a 10x12 image. Takes a 5 meg or larger digital. Then there is the problem of how many to have printed. There are several price breaks based on quantity. If you guess wrong you make people mad, or you have a bunch to donate to your favorite charity and partially drain the bank account.

The Puget Sound Region (Seattle) produced a 2011 calendar and it's pretty darn good. Cost $11 for members. (plus $2 for shipping)

They might have a couple of copies left. Don't know for sure. If you're interested, add to this thread and I'll try to get someone who's more knowledgeable to respond.

I'd be interested in a 2012 calendar if they do them again next year. Maybe if they marketed them in the G&D or on Chat so we'd know about it, they'd sell more of them.

If they still have some left for 2011, I would be interested.
The same for 2012. Thanks, Ken

I and another member would be interested in a 2011 calendar.
