I want to replace the rear leaf springs on my 1947 sedan 1011. After this many years do you think rearching would work or go for new ones? I also need to check to see if there are 7 or 8 leaf.

You should get basically the same results from either one. Make your decision based on the cost for each.

Mark, I'm pretty sure that the sedans were equipped with eitht (8) leaf springs with coupes and convertibles having seven (7) leaf ones. Best, Charlie BTW: I recommend new, if you can stand the difference in price.
