Howdy, I will soon be {hopefully} installing garage flooring or painting my garage floor.
I was curious if any one has an opinion or direct experience installing Garage Flooring Tiles or Paint {epoxy}. I looked on line at several review sites and the trade offs are reasonable {floor tiles vs. paint}.
Have a great holiday and a wonderful New Year!!
Thanks for the help, Michael41

I used concrete "porch paint" and I'm not pleased. If I ever do it again I'll use epoxy.

I used the Rustoleum two-part epoxy paint with the 'flakes'. Went on great and has held up extremely well. Each kit is enough to do a one-car garage. I didn't consider tiles so I can't comment on them.

Thanks guys, I did not know Rusto. made such a product. I'll look into that asap.
It does seem that "prep" work is the key, as always. So I have some work to do before the "painting" begins.
Enjoy the ride & the holidays, Michael41

No matter what you put on the floor there is a lot of prep to do and the first I would be doing is acid wash but have lots of forced ventilation during acid and neutralizing procedures. Tony

Thanks Tony, I will admit I'm not looking forward to the "acid" wash part of the prep. A good friend of mine is in the chemical biz and he has some "cleaner" he says is safer and almost as good as the acid. So I may go that route. I also live "up-hill" from my neighbors, so the acid washing is not be an option. I will be pressure washing the floor, filling, hand scraping, and sanding with a old floor sander and some very course pads. After that it's electrical, followed by drywall, mud & paint. Then a final wash w/Tide and rinse. My Dad used Tide on his shop floor with amazing results. Then floor painting time. If any one runs out-a-stuff to do, come on over, I'll be serving burgers & beer. Thanks again, Michael41

Michael,
I installed a garage tech ABS plastic red/black (they come in many colors) flooring system after having bad results with garage paint (peeling off, fading). Ive had it for 3 years and love it. I just power wash it in spring to clean it and water runs underneath it and its bright and clean again. John

John et all, After several talks with the paint guys and some home work, it seems the best way for me to go is with "flooring." Now I just have to figure out which one, the cost and which color {s}.
Thanks to every one who offered info, and to you to John, I'm going to look into that type of product.
Thanks again, Michael41
