My 36 was all appart when I got it, new wood kit no old wood parts. end of story. I have most parts assembled but I am having a problem with the wood that holds the windshield hinge in place. This piece of wood is about 3 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches thick and I have shaped the ends to fit into the visor.
I think that the piece should be about 2 1/2 inches thick on the front side and taper back to 1 1/2 towards the rear. The way it is now, the hole in the winshield for the motor shaft is below the visor. It needs to be lifted up, but how much?To high and the windshield won't close. To low and the wiper shaft won't clear the visor. Any information would be appreciated.
