I repaired the cracks on my 36 steering wheel with J.B. Weld, years ago, and It has held up quite nicely. I then painted the steering wheel with several coats of laquer. Richard

Eastwood sells a kit for about 95 bucks with the different grades of sandpaper, etc .... personally my plan when I do my 59 Impala wheel is the JB Weld route.
'59 Sedan Delivery, 70 Chevelle, '93 Corvette Anniversary Roadster .... and other stuff!

I have repaired steer wheel cracks with 2 part epoxy (Araldite) and to my knowledge no further problems. Tony

Araldite is only a brand name of a epoxy glue available in most hardware stores down here. You mix equal quantity together then apply to the required area and some types sets within 5 minutes others are 24 hours. Where the wheel is cracked through I use insulating tape as a former while the epoxy is setting. It can be difficult to smooth out though. Tony
