Just thought I'd share this tip.
When I bought my 60 Corvair it did not have a shift knob. I bought a generic one without the shift pattern. Last week I found another 60 Corvair (in worse shape) but got the shift knob.
Wasn't too hard to fix it up. All the details are here

In a couple of weeks I'm catch up with my buffer, finish it and put it on the car.

It looks great! I like it when we can refurbish old original parts rather than replace them with new.
