Just a feeler to see how many folks plan on brining some newer stuff to the anniversary meet in Flint next summer? My wife & I are planning to fix a few things and drive our '86 Cavalier RS convertible up there. Its finally starting to look like an old car :)

Anyone else bringing a driver or a newer model Chevy?

What do you mean by newer? Several of us are planning to drive 70 models. I am sure the majority of people driving will be using cars/trucks with air conditioning as July can get a bit warm particularly for the non-gearhead passengers.

The fun of Flint is a number of things. Seeing the GM Heritage Center with their concept cars and the 200+ GM cars on display will be awesome. Visiting the GM Proving Ground should be great. This will be a limited option, as the GM Proving Ground can only accommodate so many people. Visiting the Sloan Museum and seeing Louis Chevrolet original Buick racer, the 1913/1914 Chevrolet, the #26 built 1953 Corvette, the #1 Chevette ever built, etc. should be fun.
If you come in a newer car, you definitely will have fun. I happen to prefer the older ones, but I will be cruizing around in my newer car......a 1966 Chevelle convertible 4 speed.

Good to hear from some folks with newer Chevys. I guess 'new' is relative to when you grew up. I think anything older 20 years old is 'old' and I even get some static from friends about hanging antique plates on my '76 C20 truck. But I'll be brining either that or the '86 ragtop to Flint. Probably the convertible since gas will be a lot cheaper and the A/C works :) I'm looking forward to seeing all kinds of Chevs at the meet. Cheers, and see some of you folks there!

I am planning to drive a '70 Caprice 2 door hardtop. 4 body trunk for all that stuff we need to carry plus AC. July can get a bit warm and if I want the Boss to come, she wants to be comfy as much as possible. There are two other '70 Impalas planning to come from Texas as well.
