Hello to all.
I have recently taken delivery on a 1942 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup. I have disassembled the front end in preparation for removing the 1952 216 (stuck valves). It will be replaced with a 1962 235 that I picked up off of craigslist. The 235 has a period Offenhauser dual carb intake with two Rochesters mounted. It also has a set of Fenton headers.
I am somewhat familar with the stovebolt era vehicles, as I had previously owned a 1939 Master DeLuxe Town Sedan for about 15 years.
I am retired from the US Army with a total of 40 years service active & reserve.
I'm looking forward to exchanging info and getting to know everyone. Thanks to the VCCA for hosting a great forum.
