What is the material, thickness and shape(circle or washer) of the oil filler tube on the 1929 and 1930 chev? I have never seen the remnants of one but see they are listed in the master parts book.

The gasket is made of cork and it is a round disc type of gasket.

NAPA sells cork by a sheet for under $15.00, just the right thickness for your oil filler cap. You can also use the cork for making other gaskets. I made my headlight reflector gaskets by cutting thin strips of the cork. Works great!

My Chevy is over 70 years old and still running great. I hope I keep running cuz I just turned 81 !!
