Hello Usa!
My left rear axle is broken on My Chevrolet 1931.
What to do? Where can I find another axle?
A friend of mine has a Pontiac 1929 axle.Do the
Pontiac 1929 axle fit to a Chevrolet 1931?
Are there the same axle on left and right side

Bengt, My book shows a 29 AC axle is 30 3/4" overall
And a AD and AE is 33 3/4" over all. also they show both sides are the same for each year
Those sold by Billy Possum are of new manufactor and of modern steel.

The 1929 Chevrolet passenger car rear axle, part #355519, fit 1926,27 and 28 Pontiacs.
The 1931 Chevrolet passenger car axle shaft, part #357497, not shown in the Pontiac parts book.

Bengt:
Vintage Auto Parts in Denver Colorado lists NOS axles. Go to www.vapinc.com and take a look. The orginal axles were easy to break, so maybe the higher grade steel offered by Billy Possum is the better deal.
