Hello Everybody, Can someone tell me what size fuse I need for my '27 Lighting and Ignition Switch??
Also, this is tricky, I don't have a key for my ignition, but my steering is not locked. I can turn the wheels from side to side with no probelm. My Question is how could I bypass the electrical connection on the ignition or is that a bad idea. I don't have the time to disassemble the steering column just yet..any suggetions? comments?

15 amp for the fuse. When I got my 28 someone had bypassed the ignition switch and put a togggle switch under the dash. looked like crud hanging there so I hooked up the original switch and it worked fine. One thing to check, is your switch locked? If not go ahead and use it. Most people don't know that is how you start it anyway.

The ignition switch is operated by a lever under the dash. As noted, if the lever is not locked, the ignition switch should be functional.

To check the operation of the ignition each time you wish to start the car, watch the ammeter. When the switch is turned on you should see the needle move toward the discharge side. If the needle does not move the engine may not have stopped with the points closed, so if you don't see any movement, hit the starter and see if the needle flutters. If there is movement then the ignition switch is working.
