I am thinking about painting my 47 4 door Fleetline two tone Ozone blue on the bottom and Freedom blue on the top. I did a forum search and found the link to auto color library but it skips 47 color charts. The parts store where I get paint was able to come up with Freedom blue but not the Ozone blue. The Chevrolet color chart I have shows Ozone blue #6341 and color code 352 for lower. I would to like paint a test panel before I decide if I two tone it or paint it all Freedom blue.

Ozone Blue is a medium/light metallic blue that goes well with Freedom Blue. I have the color chip but doubt if it would copy well.
Its 26 1/2 ounces of white, 38 1/2 of India blue, 45 of green toner, 52 1/2 of fine luminescence (metallic), and 56 of black. Sounds like a strange mxing formual.
Those light metallic colors in the old lacquer did not hold up well and tended to dull and wash of in a few years.
In my opinion the Lakeside Green and Lullwater Green looked better.

You guys are lucky you have access to info that enables you to choose the correct colours.In the absence of this info you should use your wife or girlfriend to choose colours. My wife, the colour queen,has not chosen a lousy colour yet and have seen many obvious male colour choices that dont look too good.America leads the world in spray painting techniques and quality.

If I had let my wife choose the color my beautiful Black Fleetmaster would now be Oxford maroon. But I have to admitt the color is growing on me the more I see cars with it. Only seen one other 47 with the freedom Blue, and was not too impressed. Like Gene said we have a member with a 47 painted with the two tone Greens, and it is Beautiful!
