Dear List,
There's a hooked bracket sticking out from the chassis on the left side of the 1929 chassis, just behind the muffler and just in front of the rear leaf spring. The hook points downward (see picture here ). It looks like it's purpose-built just to get in the way of the muffler, but it must be put there for a reason. Anyone know what it does?
Thanks,
dave

Dave
It looks like it might be a bracket to hold the muffler, my 34 has a similar bracket a bit further back that holds the tail pipe
