I am putting in a 1990 Corvette TPI motor in my 150 two door sedan. I got a wiring harness for the motor from "Turbo City" out of Orange, CA.The harness only covers the wiring for the motor and the computer but does not include the starter, alternator and the air conditioner. Has any one installed a tuned port injection motor in a 55-57? I have the original wiring harness from the corvette. I took the alternator and air conditioner plugs from the wiring harness but I do not know what is the best way to wire these units including the starter. Any help would be appreciated, Harold Pickett

Hi Harold,

This Forum is oriented toward returning cars back to their original condition, ie restoration. Not to say you will not get any help here but you will be better received on some of the Forums that cater to the modification of our beauties.

Hi Harold, I have a 91 IROC Tuned Port that is stroked to 383 in my 41. I also did a 95 Vette LT1 and 4L60E trans in a 40 Buick Century for a friend 2 years ago. The Buick I used the factory wire harness that came with the motor just removed the wires that I didn't need, like ABS and Airbag. Then we got a Ron Frances fuse panel and harness to update the rest of the car,(it had a new harness in it). I'm not sure what a Turbo City harness includes, but depending on the condition of the rest of the wiring in the car you may want to update with an aftermarke fuse panel. If you study the wire diagrams for the 57 and Vette may help you figure out what you need to do. I would be glad to talk to you on the phone if you think that will help, just PM me with your Email or number.
