Why is it so hard to post pictures in the Forums section. Often a picture is worth a thousand words.

Don,

Posting photos was new to me as well, but with a little practice I was able to get the hang of it. It looks like you have an avatar in your Chat profile already, so you probably have done some of the tasks necessary to post a photo or image. Here's how you do it:

First, you must upload your photo or photos to a photo hosting website like photobucket.com, or flickr.com or tinypic.com. Search online for "photo hosting". These sites are usually free to use once you sign up with them, and you can place as many photos on them as you wish in most cases. Once you have done this for the photos you want to include in a message, you will see instruction on the image hosting site about how to find and use the URL, or address, of the photos.

The short version is that you highlight and copy the address for the photo, using one address for each photo you want to post and then paste that address into your Chat message--one at a time. You can paste an address directly so that a "link" is created--then the reader clicks the link and is taken to the photo for viewing. The other option is to post the photo itself into the message by using the "Enter an Image" button at the top of the Post Message bar and then inserting the copied URL address.

Here are 2 examples:

1. A link to viewing a photo on my hosting site. This could also be another web page you want to show--such as an eBay page: http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm24/winowally/Truck%20%20Parts/NewTempGauge.jpg

and

2., here's the photo itself directly inserted into the message: [Linked Image from i292.photobucket.com]

Give it a try. Feel free to send me a PM if you still have problems making it work.

Wally
