Does anyone know were I can purchase floor mats for a 1931 roadster? All I have been able to find are mats with Fisher body stamped on them.

You would have to call them to find out. I didn't see the mats listed on their online catalog.

Last conversation with Wendy indicated that they were making arrangements to mold the mats themselves. Since that was nearly a year ago I would not hold my breath in anticipation.

I agree. The running board mats for the '31 and '32 are in the same category...no real progress noted by I&I in the last year.

Considering the previous track record of I&I it could be years before we see any progress on the running board mats or the floor mats. Unfortunately, both are needed badly by many restorers throughout the country.

I talked to Wendy on monday & she says the only mold she has is for a 33m & has no plans to make it in the near future. She told me to call her in december, but she told me that last year too. I thought McConville made a bunch of different ones. Maybe Wendy didn't buy all of them. Anybody know?....Joe

Yes, Jim did make all of the running board and floor mats. As I understand it, Wendy purchased most of Jim's molds. You can check with Steve Kassis at the Filling Station for the straight skinny since he has talked to her in the past about the running board mats and etc.

I believe he was supplying Hampton Coach from what I heard. Don't know if he was the only one making the floor mats however. There again, that would be something to ask Steve Kassis at the Filling Station since he was a dealer for Jim's mats.

I just got off the phone with Steve. He said Jim McConville made the mats for the roadster & closed car some years ago but discontinued them some years before he passed.
He indicated that a couple of companies have made the mats. One became bankrupted. He said the big companies don't want to take care of small orders as they are making mats for the big 3 car makers.
As far as running board mats are concerned, I&I has the tooling & it is his understanding that she won't sell the tooling so we'll just have to wait for Wendy to start making them. I'll keep calling her & i'm sure steve will be doing the same.
This isn't the new we all wanted to hear but that's all we know. Sorry.....Joe

Does the name Hunley Acuff mean anything to anybody? I see some chatter on the AACA & Buick sites, but can't find anything that can get me there...Joe
