My '33 hasn't been started in several years. However, I have turned the engine over with the starter every other month, so it turns freely. Several years ago, I used to jump start it with a 12 volt battery in order to spin it over faster. I now have a 12/6 volt battery charger with a 55A start position. Would this cause any damage on the 6 volt system? The manual that comes with this mid century charger doesn't address this at all and I don't want to assume I can jump start a 6 volt on the 55A jump start position. Any recommendations?

Will not harm anything. Just don't spin it for more than 30 seconds at a time.

And keep all lights off. The 12V can burn out the 6V filaments.

How about the gas gage? 12V will cook that too.
