Good Day All
Im trying to get my car running before the winter ends my work for this year. I dont have a proper wiring harness yet so Im just using a few wires to get the old girl running. My question is...How is the electrolock at the lock end wired? It seems to have four screws to connect wires to. One is marked battery. The other three are not marked. Does a wire go from the negative side of the coil to the lock? Does a wire go from the lock to the positive side of the coil? If so which screws do the wires connect to?
Thanks..
Bye for now

Check out your 1932 wiring diagram and it will show you how the wires are connected. If you don't have a wiring diagram (don't know how you can survive without one) you can purchase one from the Filling Station.

Basically, on the electrolock there are three terminals, not four. The fourth terminal is a blind terminal.

If you have an original pop-out electrolock, all three terminals should be marked. One is marked "Batt", one is marked "Coil Gauge" and the third terminal is marked "Coil".

The hot wire coming from the ammeter goes to the terminal marked "Batt". The wire attached on the terminal marked "Coil Gauge" goes to the plus side of the coil. The wire on the terminal marked "Coil" goes to the negative side of the coil.
