The top panels on my hood need to be replaced, due to warpage. There is a nice set of '32 top-panels on eBay right now, but would like to know if these are the same as the ones used on my '31...any of you guys know for sure?

Since no one else has checked in, I just have a comment about that hood.
First I think 31 and 32 tops are the same. But, I would be carefull because it has holes in it probably to hold it in place on a rod. If that is the case the owner might have also modified the lower edges that you will need to re-mount your 31 side panels.
Why not ask the seller a question.

You may already be aware of this but Rootlieb is reproducing these hood panels. I think they are 170.00 a pair.
Happy parts hunting

I did not know they were being reproduced, so thanks very much for the information. Are the repro hoods produced by this firm good quality, exact repros, or do they require modification?

The pair that I bought from Rootlieb were very good quality and fit as original. My hood sides were usable and fit the new top panels perfectly with no modifications.

Thanks guys...I also noticed that the Rootlieb site has the correct measurements for Chevy hoods, and the '32 is not the same size as the '31...once again, this forum has helped me avoid a costly mistake, and find the correct item required...many thanks :)

Glad to help, It is surprising how many of the parts on these cars look the same but are slightly differnt from year to year.
