My car seems to be hesitating on acceleration.I checked to see if the accelerator was squirting on acceleration and it is not.It actually feels like there is pressure when you try to operate the throttle.Could it be the pump jet is clogged? I know the leather pump cup is good.

Since the pump jet is ~0.020" in diameter any piece of trash can plug it. It can be taken out or cleared by removing the screw plug above it and blowing back. If that does not work then a thin wire can be used to push out the blockage and then blow it clear. It takes a special screwdriver blade (with straight sides) to remove the jet.

Just rebuilt the carburetor. I found that one of the check valves was stuck closed.Put a new kit in it and all is well!
