On a 1932 Coach I am replacing the brake cable cover. It is necessary to remove the housing inside this cover to which the cable and rod to the brake attach. There is a pin that, if removed, would seem to allow the rod to slide out of the housing. But I have heated and cannot move this pin. In looking at it further, there seems to be a pin under the cable one-half of this housing that may seat into the other pin. My question is how do I remove this housing from the rod?

There is a round metal disc with a pin. Pull out the metal disc with the pin and then the rod and cable retainer can be removed.

JYD, Got it! I spun on the disc to loosen and out it came. Thanks again.
