Can someone tell me why there are two shapes of grille on 32s, one is a flat bottom and the other is pointed down in the centre,

The radiator shell for the passenger cars was different than the radiator shell used on the trucks. The truck models used a radiator shell that had the same configuration as the 1931 passenger car.

Have a look at this car on Cars-on-line.com look at the 27-49 chevs then at a 32 chevy 5W coupe and then the the front on picture. Is this correct?. It is the only one I have seen,or is it the bottom end of a 31 radiator?

Looks like a '32 passenger radiator shell and screen (grill) to me.
