Hi Guys, The attached is pretty rough, but may be of interest to someone. Regards Ray http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1917...Z230522587682QQptZSalvageQ5fPartsQ5fCars
Some say "Street is neat". I prefer "1928 is great" I have documented my 45 years with a 1928 Chev Tourer, from 1973 to 2018, and regulary add other items that I hope are of interest to others. Your comments are most welcome. The story of the Red Chev can be viewed at http://my28chev.blogspot.com/

Nice pictures. In all its rust, the van body's beautiful lines still stand out...but certainly, it is rough. Amazing that the body still has wood that's intact. Hard to imagine that van body will manage to be cleaned up again to be a working vehicle, but this may have happened before to vehicles in worse shape.

Looks like a '27 truck. Long hard restoration but you won't find another any time soon. And if you can get some of the history it would make a great display.

Who would call there Bakery "Anaconda Bakery"??? that's scary in it's self...and would make a good story. I think the truck is great...I can see it rolling down the moonlit street on Halloween night.
I was only wrong one time in my life so far. But that time I was right, and only thought I was wrong....ED

Thats what I thought too. a 27LM- early 28LO Capitol sold as a cowl and chassis new with that type dash in it. Possibly a Martin Perry body. Neat ol thing. A buddy of mine just bought a 1918 Chevt model T 1 ton off ebay last week. Been in a fire but still looks fixable.

So your buddy is the one that bought the "T" truck. I told the seller to give the buyer my contact info so we could add him to the known Chevrolet T owners. Wonder if the seller did that? Guess I should not have deviated from the original thread. Bad Chipper!

Could be built on a car based chassis. Not enough heavy spring leaves to be built on either an LM or LO 1 ton truck chassis.

I want it and have sent the seller a message. My family owned several bakeries in Washington State in the early 1900's ( www.buchansbread.com) and I am currently working on a 1936 1.5 ton, restoring it back to look like one of my grandfathers delivery trucks, exactly as shown in the attached image. ![[Linked Image from i951.photobucket.com]](http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/ad358/BuchansBread/1936Chevy15ton.jpg) In my older photos (attached), he had several of these, as well. ![[Linked Image from i951.photobucket.com]](http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/ad358/BuchansBread/1928Delivery.jpg)

All the body panels are flat sheet metal, except for the cowl. I don't think it would be that hard to duplicate them. And BOY is it neat. Go for it Alec.

I have communicated with the seller and we are close. He believes it is a Chevy, why I am not sure. In looking at the slope forward from the windshield, it doesn't look like any Chevy photos I can locate. What kind of a front clip/hood and such might work? Bakery Truck Images

I would place my bets on the bakery truck being a 1925.

I agree with Ray to an extent. Could also be a couple of years later based on the holes for the instruments. The '25-'28 trucks all used the same steering column.
