I know these are off topic but none the less very important early Chevrolet race cars. I visited the US pretty much just to see these two cars.

1st is the the 1925 Chevrolet roadster campaigned by Chuck Spurgin and Bob Giovanine between 1947-49. In 1948 the team won the S.C.T.A. points championship. Chuck first ran the car in 1940.

2nd car is the Ralph Schenck Streamliner. Car was built in 1940 highest speed from memory was 131mph. Unfortunately the engine wasn't ready in time for Pebble Beach so it didn't run so was only on display.

I need new glasses. That right front tire in the first picture is obviously a F**D V/8 hubcap?

Even under the magnifying glass, the "markings" on that hubcap do look
similar to the early V-8 logo. But, at the same time, they look a bit
different. I'm not sure what the heck is going on there....

They likely are Ford hubcaps... don't forget, these early cars were built by Hot Rodders who most often used Ford parts. A Chevy, especially a Four, is really pretty rare. The car is restored to how it was raced. I like the WWII bomber seat!

The streamliner almost resembles the "Golden Submarine" Barney Oldfield drove and if I remember right built.

28 Chevy LO Capitol 1 ton, 28 National 2 dr coach, 71 Chevy Custom Camper 3/4 ton. Also 23 Oldsmobile Economy truck and a 24 Olds sport touring.
