Hi

Is this the correct door jamb pad for our '32 BA? Order number 70-1156 from the filling station?

Acording to the little bitty drawing that they have, it APPEARS to be the thing that i need but i want to make sure before i order it.

What i need are those two rubber door bumper devices found on the door post or in the door jamb on the '32. The ones on the car are old dried up crumbly things that i cant figure out how to remove.

Do you just pry these out?

Does anyone know if these old door jamb pads pry out? I have a new set ordered but dont want to destroy something by prying the old ones out.

I have a 32 4 door special and it has the Atwood style (#70-1156 from Filling station. They slide out toward the inside of the car. the post has 2 metal lips taht lock over the grove in the pad.

I got confused so i called the filling station...he said they pry out and then there will be clips in the door post that hold the pads in...or i could take the dremel tool and cut the old pads in half and pry them out...then simply install the new ones.

i just finished re padding my doors and it was easy on the second one. i learned a lot. just knock the old ones out toward the outside, they are hard and mine broke out. then place the new ones in the dovetailed keepers, and bang them in. i used a piece of wood as a helper punch and hammered them in. there is a lttle bump on the back that locks in in the dovetail and it is easier if you carefully work it into the dovetail as it makes it hard to just drive it straight in.

they don't make em like they usedta
