Does anyone else have log-in problems? There are times when it's necessary to log-in with the same information several times before it's accepted. And, on the log-in area with the information in the G&D it often doesn't work. I couldn't even get logged into that page to send an email to the webmaster.
Yet my log-in for the chat was accepted without any problem. Any idea what the problem is?????

Cookies...possibly...

Erase your browser history and cookies then try again. If the problem persists, MAKE SURE you type your user name and password EXACTLY as when you registered. Log in is case sensitive.

I'm listening.... :-)

It's odd that you would have problems logging in to both of those areas. I understood the G&D area (http://vcca.org/member_services.htm) but what as the primary (other) area that you're having problems with?

PS. You can ALWAYS email me directly at webmaster@vcca.org

Thank you for your response. I haven't had any problem with logging into the chat area. The problem is the "membersarea" log-in. I regularly clear the cookies on my computer. It's kinda a hit 'n miss........a short time ago it did not work, but last night it did.

...As for the members only area here on chatterII your membership in VCCA has to be verified by one of the Chat elves. I checked your info and you now have access to members only forums here. Have fun!

Tonight is the first time in months I have been able to log in and remain logged in. I have been able to log in succesfully, or so it says, but as soon as I click on something, any forum or thread, I am immediately logged out. I did manage to delete cookies once to no avail. There was no way to contact anyone because I could not stay logged in long enough to do so. I would not be surprised if I cannot send this message.

Ah, so it hasn't only been me with this problem. There are times when you have to try to log in several times. I regularly clear the cookies from my computer, delete the history, do a system clean, and defrag. So, it shouldn't be my computer........

I have never had a problem logging in. However, once I do log in I don't log out. That way, each time I go to CC II I am already logged in.

I have no advice for 79 Camaro's log in hassles. But, like Dog, I never log out. That way I'm always "in" (or on) when I go to chat. Also, I suppose that precludes me from having any problems logging on.

Probably best to contact the webmaster when having log in problems......

I never log out.

This works for me too, unless a stupid Windows update messes with my cookies and I have to log in again. I also put the Active Topics (after I am logged on), in the favorites list and when I click on it it goes straight to that page.

That's another thing......I don't do those stupid Windows updates either. All that stuff does is bog down my computer.

Yesterday no matter how hard I tried I could not log in. Tonight it wasn't a problem at all. I always click on "stay logged in" but it hasn't been helping. This is the only site that gives me any problems. It also is not my computer as I have two and I have the same problem with both re: logging into the VCCA site.

Sounds like you may not be using the same way some of us do. Try adding the page (Active Topics) to your favorites or bookmarking the page AFTER YOU get LOGGED ON. Then when you want to go to another site DON'T LOG OUT, just go back home to your broweser and from there to another site.

I dont log out either. If I am using another computer I then have trouble remembering my password.
I use the "mark all read" before I leave that way any new postings show when I return.

You can either click on "Mark All Read" at the bottom of the page or you can click on "Refresh" on the top tool bar.

Mack, I'm one step ahead of you for once. It would seem though that the gremlins that have been giving me a hard time loggin here have moved on, at least I hope they have.

Umm unless they find that new/old motorcycle I bought. yipp

Not to change the subject but a month ago I found a 2 year old MC that had 16 miles on it and had not been out of the owners garage since a few days after he bought it. The story he gave me was he bought it for his wife for Christmas 2 years ago and she took it for a short ride and decided she didn't like it.

Ok, it wasn't a barn find and it wasn't an old Chevy but it was still a good find at a good price. With only 16 miles and being in showroom condition I was tempted not to drive it myself.

Mmm maybe I should put a bowtie on the gas tank. chevy

RBL2, Don't worry about the brand logo on that Murdercycle, just be sure you have your insurance paid up and your old noggin in one of them plastic buckets with a chin strap, so that when you go for a cruise,....and then when they pick up your detached noggin, the bucket is a good transport container and the chin strap is a good handle!

Four wheels and 4 cylinders NEW or OLD are better than 2 cylinders and two wheels in pristine conditine...IMHO!

I am in complete agreement with you The only excuse I have is that I needed a new toy while I wait for you and Chipper to get over here and paint my car and put it back together. Agrin
