rebuilding my 31 sedan carb and getting ready to paint body and air filter assy.I know the carb is black is the filter black or Dark Blue Gray.And were the linkage rod's painted or coated or antidized

The air cleaner is black. On the linkage rods, do you mean the accelerator rod? If so, it was painted black.

yes the levers working the trottle and the choke mine still has a brass or copper tag,and that linkage looks like it has never been painted.

That's what I thought, Im going to have them antidized local place will do them for me. I think it will look sharp --- thanks once again.

Actually the arms were zinc plated or zinc "washed". Most people think it was cadmium but zinc was cheaper and lasted longer for most applications.
