Would anyone happen to know where I can find those 9 short fat-headed screws that hold on the dashboard on a '30 Chev? I've checked everywhere locally but no luck. Thanks!

Hi XBTC,
You might want to try:
Auto Hardware Speciaties 3123 McKinley Ave. Sheldon, Iowa 51201-9702 Tel: 712-324-2091 Fax: 712-324-2480
I am not familiar with the '30 dash, but if it's the same as my '31, you want item #361, which is a 1/4-28 x 3/4 dash screw. Good luck.
While I was typing Bruce posted above...he is also an excellent source for hard-to-find items :)
All the best, Don

These are truss head bolts and were originally nickel plated. For my runner car I purchased a packet of 10- truss 1/4-20 SS bolts for $1 from the hardware guys that sell at the car show/flea markets and polished them. I ran a 1/4 20 tap through and have had no problems with looseness for 15 years. If you guys need the name of the vendor I can look him up. Here it is: Hoosick Valley Fasteners-Jim Millet (518) 686-5961 They were still $1 as of last week.

Thanks guys for the info on the screws ... I sure appreciate it! It looks like I'll just have go with the 1/4-20 S/S truss head. I came across those in my search locally for the original type but didn't buy them because I figured the original type would be easy to find ... guess I was wrong again! Thanks!!

XBTC! The original dash screws for my 31 were Truss head #8`s and they are difficult to find. I did what Doug Zeno did, ran a 1/4 x 20 tap and it worked fine, then installed s/s. You can get them at Restoration Specialties & Supply, Inc. 814-467-9842 or 814-467-9282. Also I am assumming, (bad thing to do) that your 1930 is the same.
