Is powder coating the way to go on my 28 National's frame?

I have had several frames powder coated with semi-gloss black. It is a good match for the original surface but 1 million times tougher.

powder coating makes a great undercoating for a new paint

harder/extreemly durable and is a great surface to paint to if the particular color you want is not avail in powder coating

thickness is far greater than a paint so you will have to mask off any surface that will need to take a close tolerance part in the future
