Mike, I think you are overdoing the ads. Perhaps in the For Sale section only and that would be adequate.

The way we see it Ray is, 3 out of 45 threads/areas {+ car shows & G&D} is not over doing it for four respectful reasons.

1. Raising $$ for our charities {children} inspires us do the best we can, which means selling our hats in as many places as possible.

2. Per the membership survey, many members looked in certain places, but not all places on VCCA.ORG.

3. We have rec'd orders from each of our listing.

4. THANKS for the press.

Enjoy the ride,
Michael41

Mike,

I had no idea that the hat $$ went to charity (children). I did find ONE post that mentions this. Perhaps expanding on we are not only supporting the VCCA, but explaining where (who) is the charity would boost sales!

Thanks

With those 4 reasons you just gotta shop at home. Right?

Bulls eye Jim. I’ll do just that....asap. That statement has been in our G&D ad for 4+ years.

My issue is time, or lack there of....creating copy, sending pic's to BB {thanks again Bill}, posting, responding to Ray, validating, answering questions, packaging, mailing, inventorying, and keeping abreast of the hats, along w/a 45 hour work week is, well...as I said, it's a time thing.

The G&D hat ad has and hopefully will have copy about the charity.

Thanks for your reply Jim. thanku

Well mike i suppose that you are retired?....Because only retirees don't seem to have time for anything...I know it is that way around here. I really don't see how I ever had time to hold down a full time job.......and mow the grass, work on the old cars, wash the truck, vacuum the carpet, attend brunches, visit and drink coffee, tell stories about how I need to kick back and fish, hunt, sight see, play golf, take tours, etc. etc.....

Aaaa, I wish MrMack....

Have a new practice, new office building, new house, new debts and an assortment of other things that get in the way of fish-in.

But an October fish-in trip to the Sierra's is on the calendar, in pencil. I'd like to drive the '41 up there, but driving 55 mph, across the Cal. desert in October and then climbing to around 7,000+ ft. has me thinking twice...

But we'll see.... parking
Enjoy,

Mike,
Here is my take on your proposed trip...fishing... do the best to have a good fishing trip, traveling at leisure in a modern , then at a later date have a nice cruise in the 41, maybe just a day tour, go where it is nice in climate, and scenery, leisurely and peaceful, maybe on a VCCA tour that some of those great VCCA tour directors have spent hours and days putting together. I have really appreciated our members and their unique talents to plan tours to places that are not on most of our travel maps and routes. There are always excellent surprises and unique places that they can find. (IMHO)

Sound advise Mack....My thoughts exactly.

A fishing trip to the Sierra's would require me to drive N. on 395, which is a great highway. But the big rigs do about 70+ mph, and that's a little fast for the 216. And the cars travel about 80++. So I'll take the new car....

I do enjoy tours. Been on a few and there's something sort of magic tolling down the highway as one of many older Chevy's. People wave, smile and give you the thumbs up. laugh

Enjoy the ride,
Michael41
