The original interior of my '37 is in good shape but the fabric and rear carpet could use a good cleaning. I'm sure a good vacuuming is the place to start, but what about beyond that?

The original mohair was wool. For years I have used Lan-o-sheen (spelling ?).....you can buy it at a grocery store.
Follow the instructions and whip up a foam and use a medium bristol brush and just the foam for cleaning. There are several auto upholstery cleaners available at auto supply stores also. Just make sure they are safe for wool and do not saturate the material. After scrubbing with a brush I go over it with a clean damp rag (use white cloth).

Thanks Chevgene,
I see in the shop manual it calls for soapy water so I suppose most mild solutions would do as long as they're safe for wool. I will look for the product you mentioned and try that.-Fred
