I am somewhat befuddled! How does the brake return spring attach to the brake pedal arm on a 1946 1/2 ton? My brake pedal shaft has NO eyelet to attach one end of the spring. Does the spring simply attach around the shaft or is there an eyelet clamp on the shaft? Also where does the other end of the spring attach to?
Thanks for your help?
Ken

Ken, I'll look tomorrow and let you know but for the moment I think the return spring hooks into an eye (hole) in the bottom of the lever and forward to the ? - can't remember where it hooks up.

Ken,
There is not one on my 41. And it works OK.

It may be that the internal pressure throughout the system is sufficient to return the lever to a no pressure position. I never really thought about it before now.

Anyway, I'll look in the repair manual and see what it says. Stand by.
Charlie
