Does anyone know of a source for the light blue crinkle type paint that would be like or close to the 36 heater original color?

Thanks!

I thought the heaters for 1936 were grey on master and brown for the standard, never knew they had blue.

I did this on my car. I used black wrinkle rattle can paint and after it dried sprayed the color I wanted on top. Sometimes you have to go around a few extra corners to get to your destination!

There is no such thing as a Standard and Master heater...The was a Deluxe and a Super Deluxe and would be used in all cars and trucks.
The 1936 heaters were a gray/tan and the knobs on the doors are round. There was a blue 1937 heater and it had retangular knobs.

You are right any heater in either model. My Standard original factory heater was a very dark brown. I have seen the light grey so far only in the master series.

I have a round blue heater that came off a restored 36 (got if off a rodder--but it could use re-painting)--so I thought that was right? But I do have the the brown Chevrolet heater on the car--I thought it was the later heater and thus wanted to replace. Also, had to redrill water tube holes in the firewall for this brown Chevrolet heater when I replaced the aftermarket one that was on the car when I got it. The blue heater I have matches up with the original holes that the aftermarket had used.

I'll look at the accessory booklet again--I thought it looked round with the type knobs as on the blue heater. Thanks for the correction!

I just took a measurement off my stock 1936 heater and show 6 1/2 inch centers on the thru firewall plumbing. Maybe someone painted your heater blue.
