It's been a little over two weeks sense I sent in my $ for membership. How long does it usually take for a return?

Thanks for the reply. As you can tell I'm anxious to see the rest of this site and what it has to offer. Also looking for the chance down the road to meet some of the people that have been a great help already.

If you send me a PM or email with your name, address, email or? then I can check on the membership database to verify you are listed as a VCCA member. If you have not sent in an application to join the VCCA then I encourage you to do so. It is the membership of the VCCA that makes this site possible.

How come I can not get into "Technical Articles" from the home page?
I am a proud member of the VCCA and I have a number.
Is not my Username and Password the same to get into said page?

Eventually you will have one user name and password but until the major job to make that effective you need to use on user name and password on ChatII and another set to see members only areas on the VCCA main site.

Yes, and that other username and password is the same for all VCCA members and it is only published in the G&D. There fore you need to get your first G&D before you have access to the VCCA.org members only area (the VCCA Home) .

If his VCCA membership has been verified, why can't someone send him the user name and password by private message so he can start receiving membership benefits right away? Seems like a lost opportunity to make a good first impression to me. I would send him the info in the G&D but I am unable to verify that he is in fact a member in good standing.
Just my two and one-half cents. . .

The reason is that we have been told to not give out the G&D password and user info. If the webmaster wants to give out that info that is his decision. We work at the pleasure of the Webmaster....

I have the new CONSOLIDATED PASSWORD page working in my "lab" now.  I may deploy it next week depending upon the weather here in Seattle.  I think that you guys already hit the nail on the head. It is very tough to AUTHENTICATE who someone says they are. That's why we force people to use the G&D Label when they activate their account. Doing it by email, or on Chat is not very secure. Someone with the "gift of gab" could easily talk one of us (??) into giving them the secret handshake undeservedly.  ha ha I have TWO things in work and they are both 99% done now. I'll post at least one of them next week, and maybe both of them!!!!

If you have sent in your application with a check and you want verification before you get your membership card in the mail, if you will put your home town and state and your email address information in your profile information maybe we can get you verified from the membership database.
