I put a electic fuel pump on my 36 master with the regulator set at 4 lbs. Car starts right up and idles very good but dies at when you accelerate. I assumimg I will have to check the presure at the carb. But is there any other possible problem?? thanks, Bill

As long as the carb. bowl is full of gas there should be no problem with the pump. I would suspect the accelerator pump and or circuit is the problem. The passages may be plugged up or the leather on the pump bad or the inlet/outlet check valves NG.

Thanks, after looking at the flow of gas into the carb which was almost nil I am rebuilding the carb. Might as well go the last nickel and remove another variable. At least I also found out that the exhasust manifold leaks so will repair that also. thanks again for all the help.

I am betting that you find the carburetor is the major part of the problem. Be sure to properly coordinate the throttle plate and metering rod.
