You need to us more then that. Which blue are you talking about. What body style your working. What the cowl tags has on it, if your going back original.

The body tag on the firewall will have a 2 or 3 digit color code and depending on the body style there are at least five different blues listed.

Good Day All My car is a 1932 Chev 5 window coupe. Its origional color was black but I want to change the color to an 1932 chev blue. My goal is to use an origional 1932 chev blue color. I could go to the paint shop and just pick any blue but I would rather stay with a 32 chev blue. I am planning on black fenders and a blue body. Since there is more than one 32 Chev blue I would like to pick from a list. Thanks Bye for now.

OK, now that we know you have a 5-window your options are done to 2. Serge Blue and Manganese Blue. I would go with Serge Blue since Manganese is almost black. I was thinking of a Blue for my Phaeton but Manganese was the only one used on Phaeton's and I don't want a black car.
Let me know if you need more info, I think I have a modern color number for both, but I don't know which one is which for sure.

I have managed to get 18 chips from 1932. Among them 4 blue chips and the lightest is Harmsworth Blue, but still it is a dark blue. Manganese and Fernandez Blue are darker and Blue Bell Blue and Avondale Blue somewhat greener, but still blue.

The only blue paint combinations used on 1932 Chevrolets in the USA are Serge Blue, Blue Bell Blue and Manganese Blue. Also, Dagestan Blue was used as well but that was an opalescent color. Harmsworth Blue, Fernandez Blue and Avondale Blue are not 1932 Chevrolet color combinations in the USA.

I believe the sedan delivery used a # 73 code called Coolie Blue according to the color bulletin # 5.

Good day All I went to my local paint shop and they could not match a Duco 6692 number nor 1972 Brockway truck Erie Blue.. Does anyone have a more current color code that matches Duco 6692?
I may still choose a darker blue for my 1932 Chev coupe. Can anyone help me out with a current color code for manganese blue?
I dont want to buy the paint from anyone but my local paint shop. They sell PPG paints. Im using their primer and already have the harderner and thinner for the black fenders. Thanks for the help Bye for now...

Go to http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary/ and look up the color. Take the PPG paint code to your local shop to see if they can mix it from the code.

My 32 sedan was painted Serge blue. I got an original color chip and matched it best I could with dupont #72756. The car was painted 10 years ago but your paint shop may be able to convert the above code to PPG so you could see what it will look like.

Hello fullbore, Reference the PPG brand paint to match Serge Blue, try looking at the PPG BC2925 Midnight Blue. This was used by (31 CHEVYLOVER'N SC)on his 1931 Chevy Coach. I can only hope that my 31 Coach can someday look as nice as his. Try contacting him for assistance.

Hello fullbore, Sorry the information was not satisfactory. I thought your local PPG store could use the paint data #'s to work with. If you go back to the Autocolorlibrary site, than scroll down to the box that says 'click here for IMS, ect'. Click onto that. Scroll down to 'First Auto Color Codes'. Put cursor over chip chart, click on , and select IM916 thru IM941. Scroll down to view IM934 Serge Blue. It's the best I can find without paying any money.

Good Day all I made it all the way thru the autocolor web site. Thanks for the click by click instructions. I would have never found the info without them. The serge blue is very dark on my screen. I think Ill buy just a pint to see if I like it. Thanks again for the click by click instructions. Bye for now Mike
