Hi. I have started to freshen up my 1927 Touring chevy. I have just ordered new rear axles from the Filling station as one is slight bent on the conical outer part and the other has a largely widend key groove. Next is rebuilding the brakes, both service brakes and emerg brakes. Emergency brakes are totally missing, both rods and wheels parts, anyone know where to find a complete set? Service brakes has been rebuilt to working but needs complete rebuild for good working condition so may also need parts for that.

I was missing the brake rods for my '24 Touring when I acquired it. I was able to obtain a used set from Gary Wallace. He is a good source (3140 293-1991.

Olle, I made break rods for my 1919 turing using 3/8 steel rods. cut threads with a die on one end and welded strap iron with holes drilled on the other end they work great. just make them to fit your car. Weld a turnbuckle in the middle if you need that kind of adjusting.

Hi.
Thanks for the tips, I will call Gary Wallace. If anyone has a scetch or similiar of what the wheels parts for the emergency brakes looks like maybe making them would be possible. I have the service brakes, marginally functioning so will make a new set during he winter.

Olle
