Is it possible to get a key remade for my '27. It has been misplaced or lost some time ago. Or would I have to replace the ignition switch itself?

Some locksmiths can code a lock without taking it apart. Others can make a key from a code book if they have the book or cut a key if they have a blank and the code. Most lock cylinders have the code number stamped on the outside. It is necessary to take the cylinder out to see the code. The majority don't have a clue and are no help. Try to find one of the first two locksmiths.

I had no key when I purchased my 28. Found a locksmith prepared to tackle an old lock, gave him the complete assembly, he did what he had to do, and gave it back to me with a few keys.
