i need to restore a trunk i bought for my 31. Trouble i have is the ribits. They do not have the hole going all the way through it to use with a modern ribit gun. Its a potter trunk but not the correct 1 for a 31 but it fits nice. Now i can put my chairs in the trunk. The ribits look as if you pushed them throught the hole and then mushroomed the back to hold them in place. Any ideas?

Try this site:
http://www.hansonrivet.com/w02.htm

You'll need to call them and tell them what you're doing and they will customize rivets for you. The also sell tools to mushroom the rivets correctly.

Good Luck!
